Free Transitions Program Helps Adults Prepare for College or Career

If you've been out of school for a while, the free program Transitions: College and Career Prep can help you gain the skills and confidence you need to succeed. This program is designed to help you prepare for the next step in your education or career.

Meet John Haubrick, Instructional Designer and Adjunct Instructor

What is your role in Continuing Education?

I’m an instructional designer at Penn State World Campus, where I help create online and blended courses. I work as the project manager with a team of learning designers to develop and maintain the classes. It typically takes two semesters to create one course. I’m also an adjunct instructor at the Penn State Learning Center in Lewistown where I teach STAT 100 and STAT 200.

Earn your Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at the Lewistown Center in less than a year

Penn State is excited to offer this accelerated RN to B.S. degree in nursing, which can be completed in 10.5 months—while taking classes only one day per week! This is the first bachelor’s degree to be offered through the Penn State Video Learning Network (VLN), a network of 19 Penn State classrooms equipped with a videoconferencing system that enables real-time communication at multiple sites.

In addition, the entire program can be completed from the Penn State Learning Center in Lewistown.
