Nominate an Adviser for the Excellence in Advising Award

by Gichuhi Kamau

Is there an adviser you would like to recognize for their hard work and commitment to excellence? Here is your chance to do so! Student nominations are now being accepted for Penn State’s annual “Excellence in Advising” award.

This award is presented to one faculty and one professional (non-faculty) academic adviser to show appreciation for the work they do with students on a day-to-day basis. The Penn State Advising Council in collaboration with the Office for Undergraduate Education continues to issue the award each year to encourage and reward advising excellence.

Submit your nomination

You may nominate any current, full-time University adviser who has at least five years’ experience at any Penn State campus and is not a past recipient. Nominations are only being accepted from currently enrolled students.

Nominating an adviser is quick and easy. Simply complete the short online form before Monday, November 26 to have your submission considered. If you have further questions please contact Michele Peese at adh8@psu.edu or 814-867-1095.

This is the perfect opportunity to thank an adviser for a job well done!
