Every adult student enters college at a different phase in his or her life, with different experiences. What brings us together are our common challenges and interests:

  • time management and study skills
  • work/college/life balance
  • choosing courses
  • navigating Penn State and feeling at home

Get Involved

Something our adult students often tell us is that they want to connect with other adult students to talk about classes, trade advice, and build a support circle. To help you get started, we've created some communities just for you. Are you new to social networking? No problem! These networking tools are easy to use. Begin by reading what others have written, then maybe comment on a few areas that interest you. Once you get rolling, you may be interested in keeping a student diary, starting a discussion, or posting a video.

Twitter

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Continuing Education uses twitter to send out short announcements about registration opening, new programs, workshops and events, and other news. Go to the CE twitter introduction page to get started.

Penn State encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing special accommodations or have questions about physical access provided, please contact the program coordinator at 814-865-3443.
