


Real Estate Sales and Broker Exam Prep
Penn State’s certification examination prep program can help you prepare for a rewarding career in real estate. The purchase of a home or investment property is one of the most significant events in a person’s lifetime. As a real estate broker or sales agent, you can assist people with this complex and significant transaction.
Approved Courses
The courses are approved by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission and can be applied toward the educational requirements for taking the salesperson’s and broker’s license examinations. To take the salesperson’s exam, you must complete both of the following courses, and it is recommended that you take them consecutively:
- RE 5016A Real Estate Fundamentals
A foundation for the study of real estate in Pennsylvania, covering language, principles, and laws that govern the business.
- RE 5017A Real Estate Practice
An introduction to all facets of the real estate business, including a survey of areas of specialization, with emphasis on the role of a real estate agent in residential brokerage. Examination of a real estate transaction designed to provide a working knowledge of the forms and documents used, and the related mathematics.
