Penn State Continuing Education is located in the Outreach Building in Innovation Park as part of the University Park campus. This convenient location has two adult learner classrooms, study areas with computer access, and advisers available for evening appointments. The proximity of the Outreach Building to The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel has allowed us the unique opportunity of offering courses off main campus with easy access to Route 220/I-99.
Class Experience
Our adult students comment that they really like the small class size, the convenience of class locations, and the bond they develop with other adult students. University Park evening classes on campus are a blend of adult nontraditional students and traditional-aged students, expanding opportunities for an enhanced environment through unique perspectives, experiences, and knowledge. Learning is a combination of hands-on activities, practical applied projects, and a personalized learning experience. Classes are scheduled conveniently in the evenings to help working adults fit education into their schedules.
Programs of Study
Penn State Continuing Education offers more than thirty degrees, certificates, and professional development programs. Degree programs range from associate to master's level and present many opportunities to "step up" from one program to the next.
Penn State Continuing Education delivers courses that apply to a wide selection of degrees conferred through Penn State's academic colleges. The bachelor's degree in organizational leadership can help adults who have earned some credits in the past complete their degree by packaging weekend, evening, and online courses.
Customized Training for Organizations
Customized, on-site training for local business and industry is available in the areas of management, leadership, supervision, communication, and customer service. The instructors bring years of industry experience and expertise to help your organization and employees increase their productivity. Programs are tailored to meet your specific needs.

From Southeast and Harrisburg Area
Follow Route 22 West/322 West for approximately 80 miles. Take the Penn State University/Innovation Park Exit, then left onto East Park Avenue. Follow slight right onto Exit A. You will be facing The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel. Turn right onto Innovation Boulevard. The Outreach Building is the last building on the right.
From Southwest and Altoona Area
Follow I-99 North/US 220 North. At the intersection, turn right onto 220 North and follow for 11.3 miles. Take the 322 East/220 North State College/Lewistown Exit and merge onto US 220/322 North. Merge onto Mt. Nittany Expy/US-220 North/US-322 East via the ramp to US-322-BUS/Atherton St./Bellefonte (do not continue to Grey’s Woods). Take the Penn State University/Innovation Park Exit, then left onto East Park Avenue. Follow slight right onto Exit A. You will be facing The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel. Turn right onto Innovation Boulevard. The Outreach Building is the last building on the right.
From Northeast and Lock Haven Area
Follow I-80 east for approximately 12 miles to Exit 161 to merge onto Jacksonville Rd/PA-26 South/US-220 South toward Bellefonte. Continue to follow US-220 South. Take the Penn State University Park/Innovation Park Exit 74. Keep right. Turn right, then left onto Innovation Boulevard. The Outreach Building is the first building on the left. Parking is in the rear of the building.
From Northwest and DuBois Area
Follow I-80 East for 59 miles to Exit 161 to merge onto Jacksonville Rd/PA-26 South/US-220 South toward Bellefonte. Continue to follow US-220 South. Take the Penn State University Park/Innovation Park Exit 74. Keep right. Turn right, then left onto Innovation Boulevard. The Outreach Building is the first building on the left. Parking is in the rear of the building.
