Trade Adjustment Act (TAA)
In 2002 the Pennsylvania General Assembly passed legislation to provide professional development assistance to persons who have faced career interruptions due to corporate job relocation (also known as “outsourcing”). Penn State Continuing Education, in cooperation with Pennsylvania CareerLink, is pleased to offer professional education to persons whose jobs have been outsourced.
As an important first step, individuals should contact their local CareerLink Office to begin the process, which includes determination of eligibility and identification of a training program. If you qualify for Trade Act Funding and/or Workforce Investment Act Funds and would like to discuss enrollment in one of our approved programs, please call our office to schedule an appointment with an adviser to develop your training plan.
